Management tips
- Harvest at optimum dry matter content
- Avoid soil or manure contamination at harvest
- Obtain the best packing density
- Ensure the bunker/silo is well sealed.
- Use oxygen barrier or double polythene if necessary
- Follow proper face management practices at feedout
- Use a silage inoculant
